General Description

The Vancouver 27 is truly a small boat with Big Capabilities. Built for stability, ease of handling, load carrying capability & comfortable accommodation, these boats are known as very capable and suitable for long distance passage making. This Vancouver 27 has been in the same Ownership for 15 years and whilst it is fair to say she would benefit form an electronics upgrade and a little cosmetic TLC, it is clear to see that she has been used & maintained by a knowledgeable Owner. In 2012, she had new standing rigging, in 2013/14 she had new sails and a little further back, her original Bukh DV20 engine had a full re-build. She currently has an issue with her engine that while currently servicable, will need some works and her price has been adjusted to accommodate this. She also comes with a comprehensive sail wardrobe & down below, she has 4 comfortable berths, saloon, galley, heads & a very generous forward stowage area. If you want a go anywhere, capable boat with classic attractive lines, then this Vancouver 27 is a must. She is lying Southampton.

Brokers Comments

Originally designed by a Canadian Couple in the 1970’s that wanted a boat that was safe & comfortable boat to sail to New Zealand, the Vancouver 27, was and still is a little boat that is extremely capable and has so much to offer. Just stepping onboard, this boat encapsulates you in a feeling of safety and security & you feel confident that she could take you just about anywhere. Although she will benefit from new electronics and some cosmetic tidying, she has clearly been loved and maintained by her Owner of the last 15 years. In the past few years, she has had a new Mainsail and Genoa & new standing rigging and her sea cocks have been regularly serviced. Her original Bukh engine whas been re-built & in 2009 she had a new cutlass bearing fitted. Her current Owner regularly day sails with her around the Solent , although she is very capable of so much more.

Often viewed in the same vain as the Contessa 26 & Island Packet 27, this Vancouver 27 is not a boat to be under estimated. Built of a very solid construction, this little yacht is waiting for her next adventure with her new Owner. She is currently lying Southampton and her Owner is keen for her to go to a good home and will entertain offers on the asking price.
