Catalina 28

The Catalina 28 is a very special boat indeed that offers an incredible amount of accommodation for its size. Space is definitely the keyword and as well as having a comfortable cockpit with all lines led aft to it, down below, she has probably the most volumous cabin of any 28ft boat, incorporating 6 berths, good size galley, separate heads, Nav Station & a very comfortable saloon. In addition, this Catalina 28 has a lead winged keel, making it a very stable boat underway with quite a shallow draft. She comes with 2 x Chart Plotters, Autohelm, VHF and a Calorifier supplying hot water heated by the engine or Immersion. Other features include cockpit cushions and the all important Gin & Tonic Crew Seats set into the Push Pit. Built to a Gerry Douglas Design & constructed in the USA by Catalina Yachts, this Catalina 28 will make a great family boat. It is currently lying Southampton.

Main Features:

Below decks the interior feels generously proportioned for a boat of just 28 and clever use of all available space provides berths for a total of 6 if required. The open plan layout of the main living space creates a bright interior ideally suited to family cruising.

Separated from the main living space aft the cabin provides two single berths in the standard V-berth layout. Storage is provided in lockers under the aft ends of the bunks.

Open plan layout in the saloon feels like its from a boat of far more than 28' in length. Along both port & starboard sides, bench settees run the length of the area, converting to 2 generous single berths both of which are set around the large saloon table which cleverly folds down to save space.

Port side aft is the dedicated heads compartment. It is constructed in an easily cleaned moulding. Appointed with manual sea toilet, sink and vanity unit. Heads can discharge into a holding tank.

Nav Station
Located at the aft end of the saloon settee on the port side, the navigation station provides a rear facing chart table with an insulated cold storage box provided beneath the lifting table top. Outboard of the table the ships switch panel is easily accessible.

The galley is set to starboard of the companionway steps. The worktops are finished in Catalina's Custom Counter Top moulding which incorporates the fiddles and is easily cleaned. Galley is appointed with a single sink, two burner gas stove with oven and worktop over the cooker. A good selection of storage is provided around the area.
